Precocious Actress Elle Fanning is set to star in ‘How to Talk to Girls at Parties’, based on a Neil Gaiman short story to be directed by John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch).

Gaiman’s short story focuses on two teen boys who go to a party in 1970’s London. While one has no trouble scoring a girl right off the bat, the shy one is left to fend for himself and has to find a way to make conversation. He soon finds out that the girls at the party are more than they seem.

Fanning has really impressed me lately. She seems to really improve with each film. I loved her in Sophia Coppola’s ‘Somewhere’ and JJ’s ‘Super 8’.

No word on when this one begins production. More casting announcements will be forthcoming in the near future. Stay tuned.
