Matthew McConaughey has attached himself to ‘The Company Man’. There is currently no director attached to the film yet but it looks as though McConaughey might be looking to shepherd the project which began as a script on 2013’s Black List.
The story focuses on the true story of “CIA agent Edwin Wilson who went behind enemy lines to secure a weapons contract and report information back to the CIA shortly after the Cold War. He had a meteoric rise until company policies changed and he was unceremoniously fired. Even after, he continued to operate as a man without a country and became public enemy No. 1 to the U.S. Attorney’s office.”
It sounds like it could shape up to be an interesting project. It’s certainly got some pedigree with the script being on last years Black List.
