Like a cockroach in nuclear winter, it seems nothing can kill Taylor Kitsch’s career. Let me say, I feel like this guy has some talent and is going to break through eventually. But it seems this guy has had more chances to make it happen than most. Between X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Battleship, John Carter, and The Savages. They’ve all been high profile opportunities but none have worked out. I don’t view any of them as his fault, they were all highly flawed projects from the ground up, which is why he’s probably weathered their failure. But he seems to be on the come a bit after a couple of nice supporting turns in Peter Berg’s ‘Lone Survivor’ as well as the star studded HBO film ‘Normal Heart’.
On top of the persistent rumors of his possible involvement in the second season of True Detective he is now also being rumored for the English language remake of Gareth Evan’s modern action film, ‘The Raid’, a film that has been hailed as one of the best modern action films.
No word on whether or not this has any effect on Frank Grillo’s involvement in the remake, it was recently announced that he had been cast in the project.
