Emily Blunt is in talks to join the cast of Rupert Friend’s film Barton and Charlie and Checco and Bill, according to Variety. This will be Friend’s feature film directorial debut.

Friend will not only direct but he wrote the script and will co-produce the project as well.

The film centers on a grifter who is stuck in a rut and meets a woman who may turn it all around. Together they embark on a whirlwind adventure of cons, disguises and lies all while being trailed by a Confederate newspaper mogul.

Shooting for the film is set to begin in the early spring.
