Trailer: The Park is Open in Colin Trevorrow’s ‘Jurassic World’!

by: Jay Carlson

I ‘m excited. There’s so much that tickles me about this trailer.

Normally, I find call-backs hokey, but I dig the echo’s of Jurassic Park in Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World. And that music! I loved John Williams score for Jurassic Park and love how it’s utilized in the trailer.

Is it just me, or do you find Chris Pratt a far less cool version of Muldoon? Don’t get me wrong, I love Pratt and think he’s establishing himself as a solid action star. But there was something so effortlessly cool about Muldoon in the original. I hope Pratt’s character isn’t just an aped version of that character.

Now that we have more than 15 seconds, what do you think?

  1. for me it didn’t feel like a jurassic park- movie. something is missing…maybe a T-Rex roaring or a cool Dr. Malcom. also the dinosaurs were not that good animated as in the original…they look a way too plastic

  2. I hate judging a book by it’s cover, but this trailer is not a great start for the ad campaign. I hope this movie is good, but less confident than I was before for it’s chances.
