No, it’s not a crossover of two franchise titans. Rather, the former Tenth Doctor, David Tennant has joined Netflix’s Marvel series A.K.A. Jessica Jones as villain Zebediah Killgrave A.K.A. Purple Man.
In the comics, Killgrave becomes Purple Man after an accident drenches him with a nerve gas, dying his skin purple and giving him the superhuman ability to command the wills of other people.
Tennant joins Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Veronica Mars, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23) as the titular character, a former superhero turned private eye. Mike Colter (The Good Wife, American Horror Story, The Following) has also been cast as Jones’ love interest/superhero Luke Cake A.K.A. Power Man.
Netflix will air 13 episodes of A.K.A. Jessica Jones in 2015, following the release of a 13 episode Daredevil series starring Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Rosario Dawson and Deborah Ann Woll.
What do you think of the good Doctor joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
