It seems like everyday we are getting a new cast member added to Marvel/Netflix’s Jessica Jones as Carrie-Anne Moss has signed to the 13 episode series, TheWrap has learned exclusively.
After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones (the previously announced Krysten Ritter) is rebuilding her personal life & her career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
Moss will play the no-nonsense Harper, a person in a position of authority who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica during her transition to from a hero to a civilian. In addition to Ritter and Moss, Rachael Taylor joined the cast last week Trish Walker A.K.A. Hellcat, Jones’ best friend & Doctor Who star David Tennant joined as the villainous Killgrave. Mike Colter will play Jones’ love interest and fellow superhero, Luke Cage.
“Jessica Jones” is the second of five planned Netflix-Marvel minseries. The others are Daredevil, set to air first, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders, which will see the heroes of the previous four teaming up. The 13-episode series premieres later this year on the streaming service with Daredevil set to start on April 10th, 2015.
