In a role that was apparently quite the catch, Deadline is reporting that actress Haley Bennett has nabbed the female lead in Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming Magnificent Seven remake.

Bennett will play the widow of a man who was murdered when the town they live in is taken over by a ruthless gold mining baron and his band of brazen thugs. To rid the town of this scourge the woman hires a bounty hunter and gives him enough money to hire six additional men to help get the job done.

Set to star opposite Bennett in the ensemble film so far are Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt.

Haley Bennett is already familiar with a couple of her future co-workers. She was last seen in Fuqua’s awesome revenge flick The Equalizer, which starred Denzel Washington.
