Just from watching trailers of the upcoming June film Jurassic World, t looks like director Colin Trevorrow has crafted a film worthy of the original. And he’s not content to just sit back and bask in the adulation. He’s already been attached to direct sci-fi thriller Intelligent Life, a film that he co-wrote with JW partner Derek Connolly. And the most recent news is that he’s signed on to direct the upcoming film Book of Henry.
Not much is known about the film, other than it’s an original idea from crime novelist Gregg Hurwitz. Aside from writing books, Hurwitz is also known for writing comics for DC and Marvel (he had quite possibly one of the best Punisher stories ever outside of Garth Ennis and Aaron Way).
There are high hopes for this film as Sidney Kimmel Entertainment (the main backer for the film) is prepping for a September shoot in New York.
“Book of Henry is a remarkable piece of screenwriting that has stuck with me for years,” Trevorrow said. “I feel very fortunate to be able to tell this story. It is a true original.”
