What show couldn’t benefit from a little Rosario Dawson? I’m a fan of pretty much anything she does. Even a crappy movie becomes a little bit watchable with her in it. And the Marvel / Netflix production Daredevil is the furthest thing from crappy, so she’s like the cherry on top of an awesome sundae.
Deadline is reporting that Dawson has signed on for season two of Daredevil. And on top of that, she apparently has a deal that gives the Netflix universe exclusive use of her character Claire Temple.
The exact wording stated that Dawson’s signing is “part of a larger exclusive TV deal that also will allow her to appear in any of Marvel’s other Netflix original series, Marvel and Netflix announced today.” This means no other show or film can use her. How special must she feel!
Marvels’ Head of TV Jeph Loeb had the following to say:
Claire Temple proved a fan favorite in Season 1, and we can’t wait for fans to see all the plans we have for her next.
So it seems like they already have a plan in place for her. This means Claire Temple could be the Agent Coulson-style character that ties all the Netflix series together. Let’s just hope she doesn’t have to die to unite the Defenders as the urban emissaries for justice that we know they’ll eventually be.
