I wonder if Scoot McNairy knows how to work a camera?

I hope so, because word is that the rumors are true and the actor is playing Jimmy Olsen in the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

There were rumors circling a year ago from a website called The Devils Eyes that stated that McNairy would be playing Olsen in BVS, but with an interesting twist. That twist was that the photographer was in Metropolis during the Superman versus Zod fight and he got his legs pinned under some rubble, causing the young journo to lose his limbs.

He apparently still gets around with the use of prosthetic legs, which would explain why McNairy was wearing green socks on set, which would normally mean that some CGI work was going to be involved.

The website soon took the story down and nothing was said on the matter again…until now. Heroic Hollywood has sources that now say the story is true.

If this pans out to be true, I’m liking it. I’ve been a fan of Scoot McNairy since I saw him in Gareth Edwards’ Monsters. I think he’d be a great onscreen presence in BVS (Even though this movie is starting to feel a bit crowded).

Much like the earlier Jena Malone rumors this hasn’t been confirmed by Warner Bros, so let’s just keep put a pin in this one for the time being and say MAYBE.
