Shooting is underway for the third Star Trek film in the new rebooted universe and an on set video popped up showing Chris Pine, Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin wearing some very new uniforms as well as Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as a pretty crazy looking alien.
The uniforms are a big departure from what we’ve previously seen in either film or TV. They honestly look more Star-Lord than Star Trek, but I like them.

ScreenCrush described the scene being filmed: “Kirk and Boutella’s character emerge from a damaged spacecraft (surrounded on set by a giant green screen), while the latter uses some sort of device before Scotty and Chekov safely, but carefully, exit the vessel.”
