Today Yahoo released the first pic of Michael Fassbender suited up as Callum Lynch for film adaptation of the mega popular video game, Assassin’s Creed.

If you’re an Assassin’s Creed fan you might be wondering who the hell Callum Lynch is, as he doesn’t figure into any of the existing games. Fassbender’s Callum Lynch was created specifically for the film and is not a part of the established AC universe.

Yahoo also drops the bones to the plot: “Lynch discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked genetic memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. After gaining incredible knowledge and skills he’s poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day.”

Aside from Fassbender the film also stars heavy hitters Marion Cotillard and Michael Kenneth Williams. Assassin’s Creed is set to open on December 21st 2016.
