I sure hope Guillermo del Toro can get a refund on his plane ticket
In a move that shocked absolutely no one, Universal has officially taken Pacific Rim 2 off their schedule. The director was adamant that production was still moving forward even though word was out there that the studio was looking to put the film on a bit of a hold pattern.
It’s being said the delay is to give the franchise the chance to be the best it can be.
“To this end, the decision was made to delay the production and release of Pacific Rim 2 so that the creative team can continue in its efforts to exceed the amazing experience of the first film,” the statement read.
As the final nail in the coffin, Universal put the third Pitch Perfect movie in its spot, moving the film from July 21, 2017 to August 4 of the same year.
Still haven’t seen the first one. I bought it when it first came out, it is still sitting in the wrapper in my entertainment center.
