As creepy as the town of Twin Peaks can be, it’s getting set to be a little more unsettling.
Robert Knepper has been tapped to join the Twin Peaks revival on Showtime, according to Deadline. The actor will join Amanda Seyfried (who still isn’t confirmed but is all but assured) and Kyle MacLachlan (who IS confirmed). His role, much like the plot of the new series, is still a mystery.
Knepper has been keeping busy on the small screen these last few years. He was in the last season of Heroes, had a small role in the last two Hunger Games films, and has a recurring role on the CW’s iZombie as well as a crossover villain role on the shows Arrow and The Flash. But many will remember him as the sleazy Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell on the FOX action / drama Prison Break.
Twin Peaks co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost have written all the episodes for the limited series and Lynch will handle directing duties on each installment as well.
The revival originally had a projected premiere of 2016 but word is out that we won’t be taking a trip to Twin Peaks until 2017 at the earliest.
