With Marvel Studios and Universal in a virtual pissing contest over the rights to distribution to a solo Hulk film, the best we can hope for is his appearances in The Avengers films and the odd cameo here and there. But with the Jade Giant sitting out Captain America: Civil War it seems Mark Ruffalo will be sitting on his hands until Avengers: Infinity Wars.
That is, unless he appears in another Marvel Studios film starring another of Earth’s Mightiest heroes who also happens to be sitting out the big skirmish in the new Cap flick.
JoBlo has the rumor that The Hulk will drop by and play an integral role in Thor:Ragnarok.
Keep in mind this is just a rumor, but how cool would it be to see The Son of Odin and the Green Goliath put aside their differences and team-up for the good of Asgard? With rumors of Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki, having the Hulk around would definitely provide some inspiration for the Trickster God to play nice with everyone else and try to stave off annihilation.
There were rumors before that Hulk would appear in Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2, as the last time we saw the charcater he was flying away in a quinjet, heartbroken and forlorn about being a “monster.” But director James Gunn has said that Hulk will not be looking to drown his sorrows in the cold reaches of outer space.
Hopefully a casting call list will become available closer to production time to either confirm or deny this very tantalizing rumor.
