He’s only been in one movie (officially) and already Vision is setting himself up to be a major player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The latest rumor comes with some plot spoilers for Captain America: Civil War and sets up the future of Paul Bettany’s character for other films.

The Hashtag Show (via Movieweb) has a source that tells them Vision and Scarlet Witch enter into a romantic relationship. This isn’t a surprise to comic book fans, as that happens in the four-color world. And the movie universe set it up with Vision saving Scarlet Witch from a falling Sokovia.

But the character development doesn’t end there. Apparently Vison will switch sides during the superhero battle royale. Current artwork shows Vision siding with Team Shellhead, so if the rumors are to be believed the android will betray his “father” and join Team Cap.

The final detail of this rumor says that at the end of the day Vision will decide to leave Earth and do some soul-searching in the far reaches of outer space.

Could this mean we’ll see the Scarlet Witch die in Civil War, prompting the Vision to switch sides? Does he get fed up with humanity and decide to use his powers to help out other species in the universe that he deems worthy of his aid? And just where will we see the Vision pop up next?

Marvel Studios has a couple of franchises that are space based, such as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and Captain Marvel (the latter of which has been pushed back some time). And we also have the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, which could see Vision and his Infinity Stone helping the God of Thunder in his hour of need.

This would also make it easier to get that stone to Thanos, to fill out his shiny new Gauntlet that he slipped on during the mid-credits scene of Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

As these sources are rather untested, we suggest you take this news with a grain of salt (as most rumors should) and just consider this a fun possibility for the time being.
