What does an actor or actress do after they pick up an Oscar? Anything they pretty much want. And Patricia Arquette has decided that her next big role will have her showcase her vocal talents, as she has signed on for Toy Story 4.
The Wrap broke the news of Arquette’s signing and also got the skinny on her character. Apparently she’ll be playing one of the human characters, a “laid back mom who’s described as a hippie.” Will she get trippy and interact with Buzz, Woody and the gang?
Arquette has had an eventful year so far – she won an Oscar for her role in Richard Linklater’s magnum opus Boyhood and has been keeping busy as the lead on the hit TV drama CSI Cyber.
PIXAR execs have said the fourth installment in the popular Toy Story franchise won’t be a direct continuation of the third (and quite possibly greatest) film in the series. Instead of focusing on the relationship between the toys and their human owners, the fourth movie will follow Woody and Buzz as they encounter a bevy of new and strange toys while on the hunt for Woody’s lost love, Bo Peep.
Toy Story 4, which comes to us from screenwriters Rashida Jones and Will McCormack and director John Lasseter, will hit theaters on June 15, 2018.
