I LOVED The Conjuring. It was a terrifying film that I think surprised a lot of people upon its release.
Then they made Annabelle, a film that, while not considered a verifiable sequel in the Conjuring series, tarnished the first for me.
Now we have a proper sequel dropping with original cast mates, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga back as Ed and Lorraine Warren. Below you’ll find your first look at the next case.
The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits. The Conjuring 2 in theaters June 10, 2016.
The trailer looks pretty good. I think they’re missing a huge opportunity to turn this into a limited series exploring the vast amount of cases that the Warren’s investigated over their many years. Some cases would be duds and others would turn out legit. Like a ghost version of the X-Files. Hell, you can even explore the most impressive cases in depth via the films. It could really be something special if handled right and Wilson and Farmiga were game.
