Jon Bernthal has quite the comic book history. First he starred in AMC’s adaptation of Image / Skybound Comics’ hit zombie drama The Walking Dead. His current role has him as Frank Castle a.k.a. the Punisher in Marvel / Nerflix’s Daredevil. Now he’s joining the ranks of the DC Comics Universe.

TV Insider dropped the news that Bernthal will voice villain Trigon in the upcoming Justice League Vs Teen Titans animated feature film.

The movie will see Trigon possess the Justice League and set them against his daughter Raven and her super powered friends, the Teen Titans.

While the live-action DCU films seem to flounder and have varying degrees of success (with the exception of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy), the animated arm seems to kill it with every subsequent installment.

The story is written by comics scribe Bryan Q. Miller and should hit stores this spring.
