Two of Hollywood’s hottest and funniest men, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, will be teaming up for the new action-comedy flick Central Intelligence for New Line. The film is set to be helmed by We’re The Millers director Rawson Marshall Thurber.
The story begins as a high school reunion is approaching. A former star jock who‘s now an accountant (Hart) is contacted by a classmate who was bullied back in high school (Johnson). As it turns out the “loser” is now a CIA contract killer and he needs the other man’s help to foil a plot to sell classified military secrets.
Both Johnson and Hart began teasing the team up on various social media platforms this past weekend.
I can’t think of two actors better suited for a film like this. Dwayne Johnson is hilarious and has great timing. His previous comedies like The Rundown, Get Smart and Be Cool only solidify this fact. I love Hart’s stand-up routine and think he has a great presence as the little guy who thinks he’s as big as…well, Dwayne Johnson. Teaming them up should definitely get people talking.
Shooting is set to begin sometime this spring.
