Even though it’s not out for another six months, toys for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters are popping up everywhere. LEGO sets were shown last week. At TOY FAIR ’16 we got a look at Funko’s POP figures featuring the four girls, their secretary and a couple of ghosts. But one of the more interesting things is a vehicle from the earlier mentioned LEGO sets that now has a better picture making the rounds.
The ECTO-2 is the newest vehicle that our paranormal experts will make use of when the film hits theaters. The LEGO set showed Chris Hemsworth’s character riding it and it included a red-winged spirit. There were also set photos of Hemsworth on top of the two-wheeler, but this is the first official picture of it up close and personal:
Meh. It looks like a dirtbike that some kid tied a milkcrate to the back of. Do they have to put baseball cards in the spokes to get the cool sounds when the wheels turn too?
This could turn out to be a really good film and I (along with a lot of other people) will have to eat their words. Until that day, I’ll play it conservatively and just say that Ghostbusters is set to hit theaters July 15, 2016. It looks like we’ll have our first real look when the trailer drops on 3/3/16.
