Scott Eastwood

The Fast And Furious franchise has been a series that manages to combine a great core of regular characters while also bringing in top A-list talent and young up and comers to fill out the rest of the cast for the current film. Case in point – last week the newest film snapped up Charlize Theron as the main bad gal and to balance it out they just announced a young actor who could use this as his breakout role.
Universal’s official Fast And Furious Twitter account heralded the arrival of Scott Eastwood as the newest cast member.
Not much is known about Eastwood’s role, other than he is the protege to Mr. Nobody (scene stealer and highlight of Furious 7 Kurt Russell). Other than that is could be assumed that he’ll be taking over the void left by Paul Walker after his untimely death.
Eastwood has been around since 2006 when he debuted in Flags Of Our Fathers, which was directed by his father Clint Eastwood. Since then he has shown up in a supporting role in Fury and starred in The Longest Ride. He also has roles in upcoming films like Suicide Squad and Snowden.
The usual group of actors like Vin Diesel, Tyrese, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are also expected to return.
Fast 8 starts production next week to race into theaters April 14, 2017.
