Many times, the teasers shown at San Diego Comic-Con are exclusive for attendees. But even with the highest of security measures, things get leaked. Such was the case for the teaser trailer for Suicide Squad, which landed online a little while ago.

The trailer doesn’t give away too much in terms of plot, mostly giving us glimpses of the characters and little bits of action sequences.

We get quick shots of Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Deathstroke. But the one thing most people seem to be creaming their jeans over is the shot of Jared Leto’s Joker.

In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot we see Leto all decked out in a suit, hair slicked back looking rather resplendent. But as many comic fans know, there is a swirling storm of crazy underneath that calm exterior.

I’m very “eh” towards this. It looks very generic. I know the film is still shooting and they can’t give too much away but it just looks like most other action films out there, just with people in funny costumes.

I’d put good money on a full trailer for the next Superbowl or we get another teaser. If we get a Superbowl teaser I’d expect the full trailer to be attached to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters next August.
