‘Mission Impossible 5’ Will Drop Into Theaters 5 Months Early!

Looks like we won’t have to wait nearly as long to find out what Ethan Hunt and the rest of his I.M.F. crew are up to.

Christopher McQuarrie’s Mission Impossible 5, originally scheduled to be released on December 25th has been bumped up to July 25th.

It always seemed a little strange that a series that has historically been a summer movie staple would be opening in December up against Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I assume this is a sign that the production is moving along even better than expected.

With the new date that’s so close, expect that we’ll see a trailer and posters hitting sooner rather than later.

What do you think? The last two entries in the Mission Impossible series have been stellar. McQuarrie’s had a pretty great track record, writing such films as The Usual Suspects and Edge of Tomorrow and I’ve enjoyed his direction going back to The Way of the Gun back in 2000.

Are you still onboard for the Mission Impossible Series?
