Rumors regarding cast choices in Marvel Studios films are running hot recently and Doctor Strange is not immune. The dependable folks at Latino Review are saying that Strange may not be the only one with a medical license in his film.
The news at the proverbial water cooler is that Rachel McAdams will be playing Night Nurse in Marvel’s first foray into the supernatural.
Nothing is set in stone at this time though. Speculation was that McAdams would be playing Clea, Strange’s student and lover (as well as daughter of his greatest foe, the dread Dormammu).
This would make sense though, as fans thought Rosario Dawson was playing Night Nurse in the Netflix series Daredevil but that didn’t pan out. Back in July, showrunner Stephen DeKnight said that they wanted to use Dawson as Night Nurse but were told the cinematic side of Marvel Studios had plans for the character.
Shooting on Doctor Strange starts in November, so when the inevitable casting list gets leaked we should get a clearer picture as to what character Rachel McAdams is playing,
Directed by Scott Derrickson from a script by Jon Spaihts, Doctor Strange is set to mystify theater going audiences on November 2, 2016.
