Amy Schumer Lands HUGE Book Deal

Amy Schumer

She can be funny on TV and on the big screen, but how funny will Amy Schumer be on the page?

Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books is betting pretty damn funny as the publisher has signed the actress to pen her memoirs, according to Entertainment Weekly. The deal could net Schumer $8M to $10M for a book that will follow her childhood and tell stories that range from raunchy to heartfelt.

“I am thrilled to be working with Gallery. Believe it or not, there’s actually more I have to say,” Schumer said in a press release.

This is just another high point for Amy Schumer this year. First she had one of the best reviewed movies of the summer with Trainwreck, a romantic comedy that she wrote and Judd Apatow directed and just recently she won an Emmy for her Comedy Central sketch show Inside Amy Schumer.

Schumer now joins the ranks of other comediennes like Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Chelsea Handler and Mindy Kaling who have all written books about their lives. All of their books were bestsellers and I’m willing to bet Schumer’s will be as well.

The untitled book is set to be released sometime in late 2016.
