Courtesy of the RPF we have our first good look at the R2-D2 used for filming in Star Wars: Episode VII.

This fully functioning R2 was built by Lee Towersey and Oliver Steeples. You’ll recall the duo were a couple Star Wars fans from the global R2-D2 Builders Club who were brought on to the Episode VII production based off of their R2-D2 building expertise.

The images below come from the Facebook account of Lee Towersey and are straight from the Episode VII wrap party last night that was held to celebrate the conclusion of principal photography in England.
