We all know that Lex Luthor is an evil man in the DC Comics universe. Even though he still won the public’s trust and was voted into the White House, he was still one of the most manipulating and diabolical men in the free world. But he may have crossed a line he shouldn’t have in the DC Cinematic Universe.

Heroic Hollywood has sources that tell of Luthor’s most heinous plan yet. It’s quite the SPOILER, so I’ll give the usual room for those that want to go in pure and not have anything ruined.

Apparently, Luthor goes out and kidnaps someone very close to Superman in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Who does Luthor kidnap?

That’s right. Superman’s adopted mother gets taken hostage by the evil multi-millionaire. HH doesn’t say where or how it happens in the movie, just that it does.

For those who saw Man of Steel, we saw Superman destroy half of Smallville Kansas in an attempt to put a hurting on Zod when his mom was threatened. That was just threats. Imagine how pissed the big blue Boy Scout will be when he finds his mom is kidnapped?

Could this be the part of the trailer where Luthor proclaims that “The red capes are coming”? Does he know that Superman and Clark Kent are one and the same? And if that pans out, why does he seem so calm when he has a possibly homicidal superpowered alien out to get him?

We should find out when SVB bows into theaters on March 25. 2016.
