His mission, now that he’s chosen to accept it – come back for another blockbuster Mission: Impossible film.
Christopher McQuarrie, the writer / director of the smash hit Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, has said that he’ll be back for the next installment. He simply stated on Twitter “Mission: Accepted #M:I 6”.

Whether this means he’ll be writing or directing has yet to be squared away, but odds are extremely good that Paramount will want him involved in every facet in the hopes that lightning strikes twice with the filmmaker. The Hollywood Reporter has sources that say he’ll be back to write, direct and produce.
Of course Tom Cruise will be back as Ethan Hunt and we should expect the studio to shell out the big bucks to get Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner back for another go around.
No timeframe was given for a release but rumors from a few months back say that the studio wants this fast tracked quicker than previous Mission sequels.
