When one door closes another one opens in Hollywood.
It would seem that Jennifer Lawrence has traded one project (and high-profile director) for another in the matter of a day.
THR reports that Lawrence has dropped out of Richard Linklater’s The Rosie Project. Lawrence was all set to play the female lead in the odd romantic comedy.
Based on the book of the same name by Graeme Simsion, the story focuses on a scientist who takes a regulated and evidence-based approach to dating. Lawrence’s character was to play a “regular” female that teaches the brainiac that love can’t be quantified.
And now that she’s free, Variety is reporting that the actress will sign on for Darren Aronofsky’s next project.
No word has come out as to exactly what the film will be, but rumor is that the film is coming along quickly and is expected to start shooting this spring.
Aronofsky was rumored to be doing an Evel Knievel biopic with Channing Tatum, but it looks like that might be off the table for the time being.
