While not exactly innovative, AMC has given its companion series to The Walking Dead an official title. It kind of hits the nail right in the head while being a little obvious.
The companion series is called Fear the Walking Dead. The news was broken via Twitter by The Walking Dead co-creator Robert Kirkman.

Kinda…anti-climactic. Like I said, obvious (because we should all fear zombies) but it does tell you what you need to know.
The new series, set to debut this summer between Season 5 and Season 6 of the main show, has already been picked up for a 2 season order. It will feature a brand new cast set in a new locale and take us back to the beginning of the initial outbreak, showing us how the world first reacted when the dead began to rise.
Starring Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Sam Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey, the new show will take place in Los Angeles. The first season has been set for a six episode order, much like the initial season The Walking Dead.
